“We’ve curated quite the team here, and it’s our proudest accomplishment. FORWARD. SALON is our home away from home, and we hope it becomes yours too.”

Founded by Lesley Jarboe and Alysha Reeves, FORWARD. SALON was built on years of experience, education, and a shared vision. After meeting in Houston in 2014, they opened the salon in 2019 and later expanded to their Tanglewood location. More than a luxury salon, it’s a space designed to feel like home, where every guest feels safe and included. Our culture is rooted in trust, respect, and collaboration. There is no competition within our team, we share clients freely, collaborate often, and always prioritize what is in the best interest of the guest. Lesley and Alysha have trained a team of stylists equipped to care for every client, and we work together to deliver consistent, high-level results. Great hair matters, but how you feel while you’re here matters more.

how it works

At FORWARD. SALON, every stylist begins in a comprehesive 9–12 month assistant program, personally trained by our co-owners. Alysha leads theory and classroom education, while Lesley focuses on hands-on technical training behind the chair. From there, stylists move through our structured level system, progressing from stylist-in-training to Levels 1–5. Advancement is based on a combination of quarterly service sales goals, continued education, and consistent growth within the salon. This structure ensures every stylist is supported, challenged, and fully prepared at every stage of their career.
